Ofsted
Our Academy celebrates another successful Ofsted report!
Ofsted Inspection Report - 5th July 2017
We have just received our Ofsted report having undergone an inspection on 5th July. The outcome was that the academy has again been judged to provide a good quality of education.
We are delighted with the outcomes of the report. Inspectors recognised that a ‘good’ inspection outcome is much tougher to gain in 2017 than it was in 2013 when we were last inspected and that we have continued to grow and develop as a school and continued to raise standards. The Lead Inspector told us that the academy is ‘at the very very top end of good’. Inspectors praised the culture that has been developed in the school in which our students want to succeed and said that our students have high aspirations for the future.
They found that students feel safe and that our safeguarding is effective. They judged that governors ensure that there are high levels of accountability across the school and that they are proactive in finding out about how the school is working.
Our strong GCSE performance for 2017 received since the inspection, including outstanding English and maths results, put us in a very strong position to continue our successful growth and development and with the outstanding team at the academy I am confident we will do so.
