  • Sports Presentation Evening

    Published 20/07/17

On Thursday 13th July 200 students and parents packed into the main hall for our annual Sports Presentation Evening. This was the first time the event has been a sell out and we could have sold even more tickets!

Special guest for the evening was professional jockey George Chaloner who at 25 years old has over 1500 senior rides, including a Royal Ascot winner in 2014 that George referred to as like winning a gold medal at the Olympics. Unfortunately George had a terrible fall at Newcastle in February, travelling at 46mph on fibre sand. Published 05/07/17

Over the past few weeks, 15 students from Years 7, 8 & 9 have been busy preparing  articles for the Summer  edition of the ‘AX NEWS’.

This culminated in the students interviewing students and staff on various items such as news, sport and entertainment and then travelled to Lincoln University to work with journalism lecturers who spent a full day helping our students in bringing all their articles together to produce the ‘AX NEWS’.  The students also took part in a workshop with SIREN FM.
