  • Sponsored Walk 2021

    It was wonderful to be able to finish the term as a whole school community, by reinstating our annual sponsored walk in the countryside around Crowle this morning.

    The Open Evening takes place on Wednesday 22nd September: 6.30 pm.

    If you are unable to attend the Open Evening we are hosting Open Mornings on Friday 24th September and Monday 27th September from 9 - 11.30am. Parents can book a slot by ringing the Academy or emailing admin@theaxholmeacademy.com

  • Sarah Hagger-Holt Author visit for Y7 - Re-scheduled Thursday 14th October

    We have had confirmed that the Author Visit will be going ahead.

    On Thursday 14th October our Year 7 students are being visited by Carnegie-nominated author Sarah Hagger-Holt. 

    Sarah will be delivering a workshop: From Prejudice to Pride: Writing stories with LGBTQ+ characters.

    UPDATE - 13/09/2021

    Good Morning,

    Unfortunately, two of Sarah's family members have tested positive this morning.

    We have decided to postpone the author event for the safety of all parties concerned.

    We are hoping to re-schedule to Thursday 14th October.

    On Thursday 16th September our Year 7 students are being visited by Carnegie-nominated author Sarah Hagger-Holt. What an exciting start to the year!

    Sarah will be delivering a workshop: From Prejudice to Pride: Writing stories with LGBTQ+ characters.

    Copies of her books are available to purchase on Parentpay, and Sarah will sign them on the day. If you miss the deadline on Parentpay, a limited number of books will be available to purchase on the day.

  • Student Freedom Day Raffle

    The students of The Axholme Academy have been given a fantastic opportunity to win a signed Doncaster Rovers football shirt and a signed Doncaster RLFC rugby ball. 

    All proceeds from the raffle will be split equally between Clic Sargent and PACT (children’s cancer charities.)

    Raffle tickets can be purchased via ParentPay: 'Student Freedom Day Raffle'

    The raffle will close on the 19th July and will be drawn on the 20th July.

  • Science Revision Resources

    In order to support science education recovery the department would like students to use revision guides, knowledge retrievers and organisers regularly in science lessons, therefore please place orders via Parent Pay for these resources from Friday 2/7/21 up to Monday 12/7/21. These will be handed out to students in their first science lesson week commencing 1/9/21. All items are at cost, with no delivery charges or VAT and are massively reduced in comparison to any other retailer as they are purchased directly from the manufacturer.

    A flyer will also be given to Year 9, 10 and 11 students to support your selection of these revision guides.

    The winners of the Freedom raffle are:

    Both raffles combined, raised a fabulous £817 - this means that both charities receive £408.50 each.
