  • Humber Youth Games Champions 2022

    Proudly introducing our Year 8 team, who were crowned Humber Youth Games Champions at the 2022 Quad Kids finals yesterday at the Costello Stadium!

    They were a strong team from start to finish and deserving winners of the trophy. We look forward to getting our name engraved on yet another piece of silverware won in recent weeks! Well done to you all - a truly fantastic achievement!

    It's Careers Day at the academy! We have a range of careers sessions being delivered by Further and Higher Education providers and Employers! We hope our KS3 students enjoy the day and learn lots about their pathways and choices beyond their journey at Axholme!

  • A day in the life of a work experience student

    Roisin- Today I logged 100 samples and sent them to the lab as well as testing the pH of 20 chicken breast fillets with this special calibrated probe.

    After that I had to input the data for said 100 samples and then did some paperwork as well as making tea. Tomorrow I’m being part of the audit for a major food company as well as getting my Level 2 Health and Safety qualification. I have to do 3 hours of training before an assessment . On Thursday I will also be doing a food safety qualification which needs 4 HOURS OF TRAINING ! I’ll come away from this week with two well recognised qualifications that I can put on my CV.

  • Adam Simms Memorial Pentathlon

    Team Axholme did our Academy proud yesterday, participating in  the Adam Simms Memorial Pentathlon hosted by Sir John Nelthorpe School—all students gave 100%. Special mentions to:

    • K Burke - Fastest 100 metre time of 12.7 seconds
    •  Year 8 Girls - 2nd Place overall
    • Year 8 Boys - WINNERS!!!
