  • KS4 Students Explore the Loire Valley, France

    Published 06/11/26

Our KS4 students enjoyed a fantastic trip to the beautiful Loire Valley in France.

Our adventure began with a journey from the UK, travelling via Eurotunnel from Folkestone to Coquelles before continuing on to the stunning Loire Valley, where we were based at Ethic Etapes Île d'Or.

During our stay, students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in French culture and experience some of the region's highlights. A visit to Maison Bigot Chocolaterie provided a delicious insight into French chocolate-making traditions, while our river cruise around the magnificent Château de Chenonceau offered a wonderful opportunity to admire one of France's most beautiful and iconic castles from the water.

We also enjoyed exploring Place Plumereau, soaking up the atmosphere of this charming historic square, with its traditional half-timbered buildings, cafés and lively surroundings. Students were encouraged to experience everyday French life, practise their language skills and build confidence communicating in a different country.

A real highlight of the trip was our action-packed day at Futuroscope, where students experienced an exciting world of futuristic attractions, immersive experiences and cutting-edge technology.

The trip provided so much more than just sightseeing. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their independence, confidence and teamwork skills, whilst bringing their classroom learning to life through real-world experiences.

From delicious French chocolate, culinary experiences and beautiful riverside scenery, to exploring historic streets and enjoying the thrills of Futuroscope, our KS4 students made wonderful memories and experienced the very best of the Loire Valley.

A brilliant trip, full of learning, laughter and unforgettable memories. Vive la France!

  • Celebrating Our Students’ Achievements Beyond the Classroom

    Published 09/10/26

This week, we encouraged students to complete the Google Form to let us know what they are involved in outside of school.

Logging these experiences helps us recognise and celebrate the diverse talents, dedication and achievements of our students beyond the classroom. By learning more about their interests and commitments, we hope to create further opportunities for recognition, rewards and exciting new possibilities.

    Haven’t completed the form yet?

We encourage all students who have not yet submitted their responses to do so as soon as possible. Every achievement matters, and we look forward to celebrating the many ways our students shine beyond the school day!
