Year 7 - Settling In and Belonging - John Leggott College
Our students enjoyed a presentation from JLC, exploring what it means to settle in and feel a sense of belonging![]()
Through fun true-or-false activities and discussions, students shared ideas about making the transition easier and supporting one another.
The key message? It’s OK to feel scared or nervous about change – it’s completely normal!
A big thank you to @John Leggott College for helping our students feel more confident and settled!

We learned the importance of making informed choices and knowing where to find support!

This week, we encouraged students to complete the Google Form to let us know what they are involved in outside of school.
Logging these experiences helps us recognise and celebrate the diverse talents, dedication and achievements of our students beyond the classroom. By learning more about their interests and commitments, we hope to create further opportunities for recognition, rewards and exciting new possibilities.
Haven’t completed the form yet?
We encourage all students who have not yet submitted their responses to do so as soon as possible. Every achievement matters, and we look forward to celebrating the many ways our students shine beyond the school day!

Our Year 11 students had the privilege of a special assembly this morning with New College Doncaster, as they begin to think about their next steps after GCSEs.
With applications now opening, it’s an important time for students to explore their options, consider what they might like to study, and start thinking about the pathways that will help them achieve their future goals. ![]()
