Community Champion Awards
Mr Thompson, Mrs Nunns and Mrs Parkinson were all nominated for Community Champion award. They managed to not only win it but create a new award named the ‘Act of Bravery’ award. This was a major achievement for them as not many people can win such a thing in their life.
One of our academy students Harry Griffiths won the Young Art Heritage Achiever of the Year Award at the event as well.
He won this award because he volunteers for all sorts of things, here are some of the things that he takes part in when he’s not at school: Drama, poetry and festivals. He does these activities for entertainment and self-experience, as when he’s older he wants to be an actor. The reward event took place at The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe. He was nominated by his mum who had realised the great things Harry is doing for our community. Our school is very proud of Harry and he has done very well.
