'An Inspector Calls'

BBC One’s one-off adaptation of J.B Priestley’s literary classic An Inspector Calls will premiere on Sunday September 13th at 8:30pm on BBC1.
Based on the play of the same name, An Inspector Calls is set in 1912 and tells the story of the Birling family, who, following the suicide of a young woman from the local town, is called upon by a police inspector investigating the death. As their world unravels, each member of the family is revealed to have unwittingly played a part in her demise.
The cast of the 90 minute drama includes David Thewlis (Harry Potter) as the Inspector, Ken Stott (The Hobbit) as Arthur Birling and Miranda Richardson (Mapp & Lucia) as Sybil Birling. Chloe Pirrie (The Game), Kyle Soller (Poldark), Sophie Rundle (Happy Valley) and Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders) also star.
The English Department would like to encourage all Year 10 & 11 students to watch ‘An Inspector Calls’ as this will aid their understanding of the set text for their GCSE exam.  It will also be available on iplayer to view on catch-up.
