London Art Visit
Year 10 Art students take a trip to London
On the 14th and 15th of February we visited central London with the Art department. We stayed at the Generator hostel and visited a number of galleries including the Saatchi, National Portrait Gallery and Tate Modern. We looked at contemporary works at the Saatchi, traditional works at the National Portrait Gallery and The Big Blue Cockerel, a temporary installation in Trafalgar square. We enjoyed several meals including an all you can eat buffet at Pizza Hut rounded off with a birthday cake for Niamh Worley and a wonderful meal at the hostel. We travelled everywhere on the London underground which was very exciting. It was an excellent trip and we have used our experience to inform our coursework.
