Learning to Learn Circus
The learning circus came to The Axholme Academy this morning as 33 students were invited to take part in a learning extravaganza.
Designed to prepare students for the challenges their GCSE studies might bring and to excite them about the next two years of their studies, the L2L circus offered students chance to take part in a number of learning activities. Beginning with a treasure hunt, students raced around the school searching for treasure. Making best use of their combined brain power they solved clues and claimed their treasure – a bacon butty!
In addition, activities taught students vital group work skills. Working together they solved tarsia puzzles, completed the memory challenge and built their own play dough Water Cycles.
The circus was well received by all, with many students requesting an encore and more bacon butties!
