KS2 Kwik Cricket Tournament

On Tuesday we finally managed to play our KS2 Kwik Cricket Tournament, after rain had suspended a previous attempt to play. Five teams took to the field to battle it out in a round robin tournament at The Axholme Academy. Due to the number of matches that needed to be played, games were shortened slightly but all students were able to bat, bowl and field in every match. Several 4’s and 6’s were batted throughout the morning and some fantastic fielding skills were on display. Overall, Winteringham Primary School were declared winners after winning all four of their matches, with Luddington and Garthorpe narrowly missing out in second place, winning three of their matches. Thanks to our Year 8 and 9 leaders who umpired throughout the duration of the tournament and good luck to the top two teams who go on to represent our cluster in the next round!
